The injection surgery of hemorrhoid is known as “Sclerotherapy” whose working is very simple. In this procedure a chemical is injected into the or near the hemorrhoid which interferes with the vein enlargement and tissues irritation which causes hemorrhoids. In case phenol is injected then it is done to cure the bleeding, if the salt solution is injected the hemorrhoid will shrink in size. This surgery is not preferred for needle phobic patients, it is least invasive method to deal with small hemorrhoids that can be treated by latex band ligation.

After all there is no medical procedure which hoes without risk, this hemorrhoid treatment can cause quite burning sensation as the treatment is done quite near to the sensitive nerve bands. Some patients may feel allergic to the chemical which are used in this treatment as this surgery is too near for sensitive nerve band.
