After adjustable lap-band surgery procedure food is an important point that needs lots of consideration. You can’t just eat anything and anytime, take tiny bites and eat slowly. Always remember that your new stomach is a baby stomach and it needs great care. Start with light foods and then add new foods from blended baby foods to chunkier baby foods.
Some of the foods that need to be tolerated by lap-band patients are as follows –
- Meats, especially tough ones like steak and pork chops because small stomach finds it difficult to digest.
- Orange and grapefruits should be tolerated unless its outer member is removed.
- Seeds and skins of all vegetables and fruits.
- High fiber vegetables like cereals and sweet potatoes.
- Fried stuffs like chips, French fries etc.
- Spicy foods.
- Some spices like cinnamon, pepper, garlic and onion salts etc.
- Raw milk and other milk related stuffs like cheese, butter, etc.
So, just eat simple after lap band surgery to get the maximum results and wait until your lap band is removed to eat your favorite stuffs.
