After the Duodenal Switch Surgery, there would be a big change in your body as well as in your lifestyle. To make weight loss successful for you, it is essential that you stick to a particular diet plan as prescribe by your surgeon. If you don’t adhere to a proper diet schedule, then it would be difficult to get rid of obesity and might create complications in your health. So once the operation has taken place, it would take about at least 6 weeks time to get back to the normal diet. The very first day, patients are asked to sip water from the ice cubes and don’t consume anything else because otherwise vomiting or nausea would take place. In the coming days, you can start consuming thin clear fluids and it has to be continued for the next two weeks at least.
